Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in the Tucson, AZ area is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity, with the potential for temp-to-perm placement. This role is located on a 20-bed campus in a suburban setting, offering a focused environment within a community hospital.

ASAP Responsibilities:

Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages and hospital staff Collaborate closely with physicians regarding drug selection and dosing Provide education on medications to nursing staff, physicians, and patients Participate in medication safety initiatives and maintain narcotic accountability Manage patient profiles and monitor for adverse drug reactions, including reporting and avoidance strategies Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements in accordance with standards Adhere to all state, federal, DEA laws, Joint Commission standards, and internal policies

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience, including work in high-acuity acute care settings Experience with NICU patients and cardiac cases, including technologies such as Impella and ECMO Strong knowledge of medication safety and regulatory standards This contract offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within a supportive, collaborative environment.
