Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A full-time, temporary opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist specializing in compounding, located in Bakersfield, CA. This contract assignment runs through July 2026, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
Responsibilities:
Oversee both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes in compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. Perform final verification and accuracy checks of prescription orders. Accurately fill, label, and prepackage medications for patient use. Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refill needs. Provide patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries. Ensure strict adherence to USP standards 795, 797, 800, as well as state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:15 AM to 5:15
PM Qualifications:
PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree. Active, unrestricted California Pharmacist license. 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for candidates skilled in compounding. Strong organizational abilities combined with excellent communication skills.
