At Rx relief , we are looking for a dedicated Oncology Pharmacist for an exclusive, direct-hire opportunity with a premier independent oncology pharmacy in Fresno, CA. Instead of processing generic orders for an entire hospital system, this specialized care environment allows you to deeply focus on localized, high-impact oncology treatment. You will enjoy a predictable, flexible daytime schedule with standard work hours, giving you the perfect balance between clinical excellence and lifestyle autonomy. Key Responsibilities In this specialized cancer center pharmacy, you will serve as a core clinical stakeholder and compliance expert.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Clinical Review:
Evaluate and validate all complex chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medication orders for perfect therapeutic alignment.
Sterile Compounding:
Oversee and perform precise compounding, mixing, and dosing calculation adjustments for chemotherapy treatments.
Clinical Recommendations:
Analyze drug-drug and drug-disease interactions, providing highly collaborative clinical insights directly to community oncologists and healthcare providers.
Regulatory Compliance:
Act as a leading expert on USP and USP standards, ensuring absolute safety in hazardous sterile compounding.
Safety Protocols:
Develop, implement, and maintain rigorous pharmacy safety protocols and quality control mechanisms in compliance with California Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
Cost & Asset Management:
Actively manage high-cost oncology drug lines, optimizing inventory management and reducing waste while keeping the highest standards of care.
Position Requirements Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of active, hands-on chemotherapy mixing and clinical oncology experience.
Licensure:
Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of California.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep, operational familiarity with USP and USP requirements.
Core Skills:
High level of autonomy, excellent collaborative communication skills for provider relations, and strong clinical decision-making capabilities.
