Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to contribute directly to patient care within a dynamic hospital environment. This role involves providing expert pharmaceutical services, ensuring medication safety, and collaborating closely with healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Location:
Glendale, CA - assigned to a prominent LA County Department of Health hospital known for its commitment to community health.
Responsibilities:
Review and verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety. Monitor patient medication therapies and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed. Collaborate with medical professionals to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans. Provide drug information and education to healthcare staff and patients. Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting. Strong knowledge of drug utilization review processes. Ability to make sound clinical decisions and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with hospital pharmacy systems and protocols. Previous experience in a large healthcare facility is preferred.
