Location:

Long Beach, CA Schedule/Hours:

Full-time for the first four weeks: 40 hours/week Shift rotation with other technicians, varying by availability Shift times: 07:30 AM to 4:00 PM 12:00 PM to 8:30

PM Saturdays and Sundays:

08:00 AM to 4:30

PM Key Responsibilities:

Perform intravenous (IV) compounding following established protocols Fill and manage Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems efficiently Support medication order entry utilizing Paragon/Allscripts systems Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure timely and accurate medication distribution within the inpatient setting Maintain compliance with state regulations and hospital policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid California pharmacy technician license is required Proficient in IV compounding techniques Experience with Pyxis automation systems Knowledge of order entry systems, preferably Paragon or Allscripts Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety This role is contracted and is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy technician looking to provide essential inpatient support within a collaborative hospital environment.
