Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A staffed pharmacist role is available at a respected county hospital within a large public health system. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists who have completed a PGY1 residency or possess approximately two years of current inpatient experience. Candidates without a PGY1, but with some hospital experience such as internships, will also be considered. This position involves working 8-hour shifts with flexibility to cover primarily first and second shifts, and the occasional third shift. The hospital environment offers the chance to gain experience in a dynamic inpatient setting within a comprehensive network of ambulatory care clinics and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in an inpatient setting
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient pharmacotherapy
• Participate in medication-use evaluations and clinical pharmacy services
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory policies

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• PharmD degree and current pharmacist license
• Completion of a PGY1 residency preferred; candidates with hospital experience such as internships will be considered
• Approximately two years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
• Successful completion of a competency exam is required prior to start
