Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Direct Hire An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) specializing in
HIV/AIDS
medications to lead pharmacy operations in a dynamic retail/specialty pharmacy setting. This direct hire role requires a strong foundation in
HIV/AIDS
pharmaceuticals and 3-5 years of retail or specialty pharmacy management experience. The position demands a clinical pharmacist who thrives in innovative environments, contributing to the development and implementation of new systems that enhance patient services. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, providing a structured weekday schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all pharmacy operations as the designated Pharmacist-In-Charge in compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver innovative clinical services and share best practices across the organization. Maintain adherence to pharmacy core values and mission, ensuring these principles guide all activities. Adapt to a dynamic workplace to enhance patient experiences and support staff effectively. Foster a collaborative organizational environment where accountability to multiple leaders is standard. Contribute to consistency in processes, procedures, and policies across multiple locations. Participate in internal and external meetings, including conferences and training sessions.
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of recent specialty or retail/community pharmacy management experience; 10 years highly preferred. Strong background in
HIV/AIDS
medication management; willing to undergo further training to become an expert. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience working effectively with diverse cultures and lifestyles. Ability to maintain pace and accuracy in a busy pharmacy environment. Experience exclusively in hospital settings is not considered applicable.
