Pharmacist

As a key member of the healthcare team, you will ensure safe medication dispensing, provide expert consultation on drug therapies, and support multidisciplinary collaboration to promote optimal health and recovery. Duties Dispense prescriptions accurately while adhering to all safety protocols and aseptic techniques. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medication histories and physiology evaluations, to develop personalized treatment plans. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy, including acute pain management and emergency interventions. Manage IV infusions and sterile compounding procedures with precision, ensuring compliance with hospital standards. Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting dosages as needed based on medical terminology understanding and clinical judgment. Educate patients on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions to promote adherence and safety. Maintain comprehensive documentation of medication administration, patient care activities, and incident reports in accordance with hospital policies. Experience Prior experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in hospital medicine, critical care, ICU environments, pediatrics, or emergency room settings. Post-residency clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on patient service and acute care is required. Strong background in managed care principles and familiarity with pharmacy residency programs enhances your ability to deliver top-tier care. Proven skills in medication administration, patient assessment, pain management—including acute pain—and physiology knowledge are essential. Experience with aseptic techniques for IV infusion preparation and handling is necessary. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and hospital experience will support your success in this role.
