Job Description
The Per Diem Pharmacist is responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing of medications in compliance with federal and California pharmacy laws and regulations. The core focus of this position is on clinical responsibilities, including the review and interpretation of prescription orders, medication dispensing, patient counseling, and overall patient care. The pharmacist actively contributes to maintaining efficient pharmacy workflow, supervising pharmacy technicians and assistants. The Pharmacist also supports the pharmacy's commitment to high-quality clinical care by providing medication education and consultation, assisting with inventory oversight, maintaining accurate pharmacy records, and participating in operational and quality improvement initiatives that enhance pharmacy services for the student population. This is a per diem position. The salary range for the Per Diem Pharmacist is $85.61 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. degree Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy degree (pharmD). Required Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment and contribute to a team-based approach to patient care. Knowledge of federal and California pharmacy laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice. Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to medication safety and patient care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and healthcare staff.
