Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility on the Central Coast is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a night shift travel assignment. This contract role offers a 7-on, 7-off schedule, providing a balanced work-life rhythm for professionals interested in impactful inpatient pharmacy practice.
Location:
San Luis Obispo, CA Schedule:
Night shift, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders with precision to ensure patient safety Supervise pharmacy technicians, guiding workflow and efficiency Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy Perform pharmacokinetic evaluations to tailor medication regimens Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Omnicell for documentation and medication management
Qualifications:
Active pharmacist license in California Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work independently during night shifts Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems highly preferred This 13+ week contract position is ideal for pharmacists ready to contribute in a dynamic hospital environment and start as soon as possible.
