Shift It is variable start time but either 6am or 12pm and 8 hour shifts.

Pharmacist Inpatient Type of Facility:
Acute Care Hospital Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately in accordance with physician orders, adhering to aseptic techniques and hospital protocols. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies, considering physiology and anatomy knowledge. Manage medication administration processes, including IV infusions and acute pain management strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in critical care environments such as ICU, PICU, and emergency rooms to develop and adjust treatment plans. Monitor patient responses to medications, identify adverse effects, and implement necessary adjustments for optimal care. Maintain comprehensive documentation of medication therapy, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and medical terminology standards. Provide expert consultation on complex cases involving trauma, pediatrics, or acute care scenarios. Support medication safety initiatives by reviewing prescriptions for potential interactions and contraindications. Participate in hospital committees focused on managed care strategies and quality improvement efforts. Experience Prior hospital pharmacy experience with a focus on inpatient care, ideally within a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center environment. Demonstrated expertise in critical care settings such as ICU and PICU units. Experience with managed care principles and hospital medicine practices. Completion of a pharmacy residency program or post-residency clinical pharmacy experience. Proven ability in patient service delivery, including patient assessment and education. Strong background in physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to inpatient pharmacy practice. Hands-on experience with IV infusion preparation and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of acute pain management protocols and medication administration procedures in emergency settings. Familiarity with hospital operations related to medication safety, compliance standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
