Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A contract opportunity has opened for a Staff Pharmacist in Solvang, CA, supporting a healthcare facility with 60 acute care beds and over 100 long-term care beds. This role offers an ASAP start for approximately 13 weeks, with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, primarily variable days and afternoons.

Responsibilities include:

Order verification and medication dispensing accuracy Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations Consulting with physicians and nursing staff for optimal patient care Managing pharmacokinetics and personalized medication dosing Learning and using the Altera Sunrise pharmacy system, with provided training Qualifications and desired experience: Active California pharmacist license Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred to navigate patient care complexities Ability to adapt to a less common pharmacy IT system with training support Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration Proven attention to detail in high-volume acute and long-term care settings This contract offers exposure to a dynamic healthcare environment serving diverse patient populations across acute and long-term care.
