We are looking for future leaders. Position Overview We are seeking a pharmacist who is clinically strong, operationally organized, and naturally leads others. This role begins as a practicing pharmacist actively involved in hospice and LTC pharmacy workflow, while developing into a leadership position with the opportunity to grow into: Advanced Pharmacist Supervising Pharmacist Potential future Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) For the right individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, there may also be future opportunities for: Multi-site leadership Profit-sharing opportunities Potential partnership participation in future pharmacy locations This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys: Leading teams Organizing systems Solving operational problems Building people Creating long-term impact Thinking like an owner Key Responsibilities Clinical & Operational Responsibilities Perform pharmacist duties including prescription verification, order review, and clinical support for hospice and LTC patients Support daily workflow including cycle fills, urgent orders, admissions, medication changes, and on-call coverage Provide clinical support to nurses, caregivers, facilities, and hospice teams Review medication profiles, hospice comfort kits, formulary adherence, and symptom management recommendations Communicate with physicians, nurses, facility staff, and hospice leadership regarding medication therapy and operational needs Maintain compliance with California Board of Pharmacy, DEA, controlled substance documentation, and internal SOPs Leadership & Supervisory Development Help oversee daily pharmacist and technician workflow Coach, mentor, and help develop technicians, interns, and newer pharmacists Support onboarding and training of new team members Identify workflow bottlenecks and help implement process improvements Support scheduling, staffing coordination, and operational accountability Participate in compliance audits, quality assurance initiatives, and internal process improvement projects Help maintain a culture of professionalism, urgency, accountability, and teamwork Support leadership with onboarding of new hospice or facility customers when needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Naturally leads others without needing the title first Brings organization, structure, and accountability to the team Stays calm under pressure and helps stabilize workflow Communicates clearly with nurses, physicians, facilities, and internal staff Takes ownership of problems and helps solve them Thinks beyond tasks and understands systems, people, and growth Has an entrepreneurial spirit and genuine interest in building something long-term Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and fast-paced workflow Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following: Hospice pharmacy Long-term care pharmacy Pharmacy leadership or management Hospital pharmacy Team training, workflow leadership, or operational oversight Candidates without hospice or LTC experience may still be considered if they demonstrate strong leadership and management ability. Compensation $66
  • 82 per hour, based on experience, leadership ability, and operational readiness. Candidate Profile & Pay Range Strong clinical pharmacist with limited leadership experience: $66
  • 70/hour Strong workflow pharmacist with some leadership experience: $70
  • 74/hour Prior management or team leadership experience: $74
  • 78/hour Hospice/LTC experience with proven leadership and potential for PIC role: $78
  • 82/hour Performance-based bonus opportunities are available, tied to leadership impact, operational contributions, and overall growth.
