At Mercury Pharmacy Corp, you won't be an afterthought — you'll be valued. We are seeking a licensed RPh to join our PRN on-call team across our family of pharmacies — Zeta Pharmacy (Pittsburg), Central Pharmacy (Vallejo), and Central Pharmacy (Richmond) — providing flexible on-call coverage as needed. Vallejo is the preferred primary site. All three locations operate on identical hours, workflows, and software — making transitions between sites seamless. This is a W-2 position at $72/hr. No driving stipend is provided. What You'll Do
- Ensure the accuracy and clinical appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed, in full compliance with California Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Verify that all controlled substances are dispensed for a legitimate medical purpose within the usual course of a provider's practice, utilizing PDMP and Breeze
- Supervise, support, and hold Pharmacy Technicians and associates accountable to their delegated responsibilities
- Mentor and contribute to the professional growth of pharmacy associates
- Perform drug procurement, quality assurance, C-II inventory audits, and patient drug consultations consistent with community pharmacy practice
- Navigate and manage dispensing workflow using PioneerRx pharmacy management software
- Drive day-to-day workflow efficiency, make real-time process adjustments, and maintain a high standard of productivity
- Analyze dispensing data, appropriately schedule costly procurement items, and generate dispensing reports for indigent population payors
- Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations What We're Looking For
- Active, unrestricted California Pharmacist (RPh) license — required
- Familiarity with PDMP and Breeze portal — required
- Experience in community or independent pharmacy — preferred
- Working knowledge of PioneerRx — strongly preferred
- Reliable Monday-Friday availability; willingness to flex across all three locations as needed
