• Staff Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A per diem pharmacist position is available for a retail-specialty pharmacy in Waterbury, CT, to provide vacation coverage.

This role involves managing prescription filling and verification in a low-volume pharmacy focused primarily on respiratory medications. Candidates will benefit from a structured training period and a steady workflow, ideal for those who excel in independent practice.

Responsibilities:

Accurately fill and verify approximately 12 prescriptions daily Operate independently without technician support Provide patient counseling and deliver excellent customer service Manage workflow efficiently in a retail-specialty pharmacy setting Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations

Schedule:

Assignment dates: May 31

• June 10 Training period: May 26
• May 29 (4 days required if no QS1 experience) Shift options: 10:00 AM
• 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM
• 3:00 PM PRN schedule designed for vacation coverage

Qualifications:

Active Connecticut Pharmacist license, in good standing Recent retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred Experience with QS1 pharmacy system preferred; training available if needed Ability to work independently without technician support Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care This short-term contract opportunity offers a manageable prescription volume and a focused specialty area.
