The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and various pharmacy practices, including compounding medications and patient assessment. The Staff Pharmacist will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care in both acute and critical care settings. Responsibilities Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy. Dispense medications accurately while providing patient counseling on proper usage, side effects, and interactions. Conduct thorough patient assessments to monitor medication efficacy and safety. Compounding medications as needed, following established protocols and guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients, particularly in pediatrics and critical care environments. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions using pharmacy software. Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and best practices in pharmacy care. Provide education to patients and staff regarding medication management and health promotion. Experience Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) degree from an accredited institution is required. Completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in medical terminology, physiology knowledge, acute care, critical care, patient assessment, pharmacy practices, compounding medications, pediatrics, and pharmacy software is essential. Previous experience in a clinical pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
