Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract To Hire This leadership role as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a 503A Compounding Pharmacy involves full accountability for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all sterile and non-sterile compounding activities. As the primary pharmacy authority, you will ensure adherence to state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP regulations while guiding daily operations, quality systems, and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, representing the pharmacy to Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, and regulatory agencies. Maintain compliance and timely reporting of operational and facility changes. Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, including batch record management and production scheduling to meet on-time delivery and inventory accuracy. Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production personnel. Partner in quality assurance initiatives and drive continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:
Valid PA Pharmacist License. Minimum five years of experience as PIC or Pharmacy Manager. In-depth knowledge of USP , , , and relevant state and federal regulations governing 503A compounding pharmacies. Proven experience in leading audits and managing regulatory inspections successfully.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Flexibility to work Saturdays as needed.
