Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Clewiston, FL, is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a contract opportunity. This role combines leadership, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day pharmacy operations within an acute care hospital setting. The position requires a strong background in inpatient pharmacy, with a focus on management and compliance.

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM No weekend hours required
Key Responsibilities:
Provide pharmacy leadership and oversee daily pharmacy operations Prepare and maintain readiness for The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation and compliance Oversee sterile compounding processes, primarily performed by pharmacy technicians Manage regulatory and compliance requirements including Board of Pharmacy inspections Work collaboratively with the Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) through CPS system Support inpatient services including ICU, outpatient infusion, surgery, and medical-surgical units Supervise a team comprised of 3 pharmacy technicians, 1 full-time pharmacist, and 4 PRN pharmacists Ensure the pharmacy operates efficiently despite limited weekday staffing
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Florida Pharmacist and Consultant licensure required Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy management experience Familiarity with IV preparations and sterile compounding Knowledge and experience with TJC standards Experience with CPSI order entry system and Omnicell automation preferred; training provided if needed
