The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care in various settings, including hospital medicine, managed care, and critical care environments. Responsibilities Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy. Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication needs and monitor therapeutic outcomes. Provide drug information and education to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication therapy. Collaborate with healthcare teams in managing complex medication regimens, particularly in ICU settings and Level I Trauma Centers. Prepare and dispense medications, including IV infusions, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Participate in pharmacy residency programs to mentor students and new pharmacists. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory requirements. Stay updated on advancements in pharmacotherapy, hospital medicine, physiology, anatomy, and managed care practices. Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) degree from an accredited institution. Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. Completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred but not required. Knowledge of hospital medicine practices, patient assessment techniques, and managed care principles. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to medication management. Experience working in an ICU or Level I Trauma Center is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and collaboration within healthcare teams. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
