Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Florida pharmacist ready to take on Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) responsibilities in a supportive, rehabilitation hospital setting. Located in Jacksonville, FL, this position serves a 50-bed rehab hospital focused on delivering quality patient care. The role is a 13-week contract beginning ASAP, with a consistent Monday through Friday daytime schedule. This position is ideal for a pharmacist who is comfortable managing typical PIC duties without the need to be a department superstar. Key responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure seamless pharmaceutical services.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily pharmacy operations as the PIC Verify medication orders promptly and accurately Supervise and support pharmacy technician staff Provide pharmaceutical consultations to nursing personnel and physicians Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Florida pharmacist license Prior experience in a hospital or rehab setting is highly desirable Solid understanding of pharmacy operations and standards Ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Schedule:
