Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A PRN pharmacist role is available at an Indian Health Clinic, offering an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Health Officer, this position supports daily pharmacy operations with a focus on safe and effective medication management.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriate dosing Prepare and dispense medications according to regulatory and quality standards Verify correct filling of MedBoxes Counsel patients on medication use, possible side effects, and drug interactions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient treatment plans Perform medication reconciliation to ensure complete and accurate medication histories Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and workflow completion Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications:

Licensed Pharmacist with current, unrestricted license in the state of practice Experience in a clinical or community pharmacy setting preferred Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical best practices and regulatory standards Excellent communication skills to effectively counsel patients and collaborate with healthcare teams Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure operational efficiency Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities
