Our mission is to build a pharmacy operation centered on quality systems, compliance, precision compounding, and operational integrity. We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead pharmacy development and operations. This role is ideal for a pharmacist interested in helping build a sterile compounding operation from the ground up while establishing compliant workflows, quality programs, and long-term operational strategy. The PIC will serve as the pharmacy's designated leader responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations, including sterile compounding standards and quality oversight requirements. Responsibilities Regulatory & Compliance Oversight Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for a Florida licensed 503A sterile compounding pharmacy Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations, including Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements Maintain compliance with current USP sterile compounding standards and USP requirements when applicable Assist in maintaining procedures that support compliance with Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act where applicable Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, quality systems, pharmacy procedures, and documentation practices Lead regulatory readiness activities and support inspections and audits Oversee environmental monitoring, personnel competency programs, quality assurance activities, and corrective action processes Maintain complete and accurate pharmacy records in accordance with applicable regulations Sterile Compounding Operations Oversee sterile compounding workflows and pharmacy operations in accordance with applicable standards and regulations Supervise aseptic preparation procedures and sterile processing practices Review compounding records, formulations, beyond-use dating determinations, and related documentation Support cleanroom workflow implementation and operational readiness activities Ensure proper inventory controls, storage conditions, cold-chain management practices, and product handling procedures Oversee implementation of quality procedures supporting sterile product integrity and patient safety Leadership & Team Development Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor pharmacy personnel Establish training programs and competency requirements Foster a culture focused on patient safety, accountability, and compliance Collaborate with leadership regarding operational planning and pharmacy growth initiatives
Experience Required:
Active and unrestricted Florida pharmacist license Eligible and willing to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) under Florida requirements Minimum 3-5 years of sterile compounding experience Strong working knowledge of USP and sterile compounding standards Experience with cleanroom operations and aseptic technique Strong understanding of quality assurance, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance requirements Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred:
