Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional medication management and patient care within a fast-paced hospital environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and providing expert guidance to patients. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately while adhering to hospital protocols, ensuring proper medication administration and patient safety. Collaborate with medical teams in managing complex cases, including trauma, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and emergency room patients. Provide expert consultation on medication therapy management, including acute pain management, IV infusion techniques, and critical care pharmacology. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication plans, considering physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology. Oversee aseptic techniques during compounding and medication preparation to maintain sterile environments and prevent contamination. Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions to optimize patient service and care. Stay current with hospital medicine practices, managed care policies, and Level I Trauma Center standards to ensure compliance and best practices. Requirements Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in hospital pharmacy settings, including Level II trauma center or Level I Trauma Center experience preferred. Demonstrated expertise in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency room settings. Strong background in pharmacy residency programs or post-residency clinical pharmacy experience. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols. Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques, IV infusion preparation, and acute pain management strategies. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively while maintaining high standards of patient service and safety. Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to teamwork in fast-paced hospital environments. $61.87 - $74.51 per hour
