  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and precision.
This pivotal role involves overseeing daily pharmacy functions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional patient care. As the leader of the pharmacy team, you will coordinate medication management, supervise pharmacy staff, and uphold the highest standards of safety and service. Your expertise in clinical pharmacy practices, hospital experience, and patient-centered care will drive our mission to improve health outcomes and foster a positive environment for both staff and patients. Duties Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and regulatory compliance Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient workflow Oversee medication compounding, IV infusion preparation, and aseptic techniques to guarantee safety and accuracy Conduct patient assessments to optimize medication therapy plans, including pediatrics, pain management, and critical care cases Utilize pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR) for documentation, prescription processing, and medication reconciliation Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Coordinate immunization programs and administer immunizations according to protocols Maintain accurate inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing controlled substances Lead efforts in medical management initiatives such as medication administration protocols and clinical interventions Support patient service initiatives by providing medication counseling, education on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication use Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the applicable region Proven experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital settings with a focus on acute care or critical care environments Completion of a pharmacy residency program preferred for advanced clinical expertise Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with proficiency in patient care activities such as patient assessment and medication therapy management Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and immunization procedures Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR), inventory management tools, and compounding medications Skilled in aseptic technique, IV insertion, IV infusion preparation, and pain management protocols Experience with hospital-based pharmacy operations including HIPAA compliance and medical management strategies Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams across disciplines Ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and service excellence Join us as a Pharmacist in Charge to make a meaningful impact on patient health outcomes while leading a dedicated team committed to excellence.
