Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Pharmacist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through expert medication management and clinical services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your extensive pharmacy knowledge, critical care experience, and passion for patient service in a fast-paced hospital environment. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will ensure safe medication dispensing, provide clinical consultations, and support medical management initiatives to improve patient outcomes. Your expertise will help us uphold the highest standards of pharmacy practice while fostering a collaborative and compassionate atmosphere. Duties Dispense medications accurately using pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards including HIPAA. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medication reviews, patient care planning, and evaluating physiological and anatomical considerations for optimal therapy. Prepare and compound medications following aseptic techniques, including IV infusions and pediatric formulations, adhering to strict safety protocols. Provide clinical pharmacy services such as pain management consultations, immunizations, medication administration guidance, and medical management support across various departments including critical care and pediatrics. Manage inventory levels efficiently, oversee medication storage, perform stock audits, and coordinate with pharmacy technicians to ensure the availability of essential medications. Support hospital staff by offering expertise in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology to facilitate accurate medication administration and patient care. Assist with training pharmacy technicians and new staff members on pharmacy operations, IV insertion techniques, EMR/EHR systems usage, and compliance with hospital policies. Experience Proven experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital settings with a strong background in acute care environments. Critical care experience is highly preferred; familiarity with ICU protocols enhances your ability to deliver specialized pharmaceutical care. Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience demonstrating advanced patient service skills. Demonstrated proficiency in pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools. Hands-on experience with compounding medications, aseptic techniques, IV insertion procedures, and IV infusion therapies. Knowledge of immunizations administration protocols and pain management strategies within hospital settings. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy principles, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliant patient interactions.
