Job Description

Job Overview We are building a high-performance 503A compounding pharmacy, and we are looking for an elite Pharmacist in Charge / Operator to help lead it. This is not a traditional pharmacist role. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to help architect, build, scale, and operate a serious compounding operation alongside experienced healthcare operators with an aggressive long-term vision. We are looking for someone who: Thrives in high-accountability environments Understands sterile compounding at a deep operational level Has survived real inspections and operational pressure Can build systems, not just follow them Wants major influence inside a growing organization Takes pride in operational excellence Is obsessed with compliance, quality, and execution This position is not for the faint of heart. We are not looking for someone who simply wants to "manage a pharmacy." We are looking for someone who wants to help build one properly. What You'll Be Responsible For Serving as Pharmacist in Charge for a new 503A compounding pharmacy Helping design and operationalize sterile compounding workflows Leading USP <795>, <797>, and <800> compliance initiatives Building SOPs, QA systems, training programs, and documentation infrastructure Assisting with cleanroom workflow and operational design Developing scalable compounding and fulfillment processes Preparing for and managing Board of Pharmacy and regulatory inspections Building and leading pharmacy operations teams Establishing quality control and environmental monitoring standards Vendor and API qualification oversight Supporting long-term operational scaling initiatives Experience Strong candidates will likely have experience in one or more of the following: 503A compounding pharmacy leadership 503B outsourcing facility operations Hospital sterile compounding leadership High-volume sterile production environments Pharmacy operational buildouts or remediation projects Bonus points for candidates who have: Managed or survived FDA inspections Built SOP systems from scratch Handled CAPAs or remediation events Scaled sterile compounding operations Worked in GLP-1 or peptide-heavy environments Overseen cleanroom builds or workflow optimization Implemented quality management systems Preferred Prior PIC experience Multi-state pharmacy operational experience Experience with high-volume compounding DEA compliance experience Quality assurance and environmental monitoring experience Experience leading teams and training staff Who Will Succeed Here This role is ideal for someone who: Gets frustrated by poorly run pharmacies Believes compliance and operational excellence can coexist with growth Wants real influence and autonomy Wants to help build infrastructure the right way Prefers intensity and ownership over bureaucracy Enjoys solving difficult operational problems Wants to be part of something meaningful long term If you want the opportunity to build something exceptional with significant long-term upside, we would love to talk. From $215,000.00 per year Application Question(s): Are you a licensed pharmacist able to be a Pharmacist in Charge? Do you have experience as a PIC of a 503A compounding pharmacy (sterile or nonsterile)? Do you have high level operational experience in a 503A or 503B pharmacy? Describe the most operationally difficult issue you've dealt with inside a sterile compounding environment and how you handled it. Have you ever participated in a Board of Pharmacy or FDA inspection? If yes, describe your role. Have you ever helped build or redesign compounding workflows, SOPs, or operational systems? What do you believe separates a well-run compounding pharmacy from a poorly run one? What level of sterile compounding volume have you operated in? Describe your experience with USP <797>, environmental monitoring, and quality assurance systems. What concerns would you immediately evaluate when entering a newly built compounding operation? What kind of operation are you ultimately looking to help build?
