Part-Time Community Pharmacist (23 hours/week)

Opened in 2017, Sarasota Apothecary is a family-owned and operated independent pharmacy based out of Sarasota, FL that specializes in Non-Sterile Compounding. We also have a second store, Gulf Care Pharmacy in Lakewood Ranch Florida. If interested there may be hours available at both pharmacies. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and customer service focused Pharmacist to join our team. Having an interest to learn non-sterile compounding and Hormone Replacement Therapy as well as administer vaccines is required. Ideally the pharmacist would be capable of stepping in as temporary Pharmacist in Charge in the absence of the current PIC.

Current Shifts:

Tuesday and Friday 9am-4pm, as well as Wednesday 9am-6pm.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
• Must have an active in state Pharmacy License.
• Knowledge of laws governing drugs, pharmacy products, and third party plans
• Self-motivated with the ability to complete work without supervision under tight time frames
• Willingness to jump in and help technicians with customers on the phone and at the register, as well as type prescriptions with a willingness to learn how to create compound formulas and recipe logs.
• Maintains honesty, integrity, and high levels of efficiency and accuracy at all times
• Demonstrated practice of high-level skill in multi-tasking, championing change, initiative, customer service, interpersonal relations including building relationships and resolving conflict, decision making, problem solving, teamwork, and verbal and written communication
• Entrepreneurial mindset Required education: Doctorate or Rph.
