As a Pharmacist, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes. Duties
- Part-time or Full-time position currently requires 30-40 hours/wk.
Review and interpret physician prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy. Must be able to do compounding. Provide medication counseling and education to patients on proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Monitor patient medication therapies for efficacy, safety, and adherence. Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and manage inventory effectively. Utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and patient management. Implement aseptic techniques in compounding sterile preparations as required. Participate in clinical pharmacy initiatives, including medication therapy management and health screenings. Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management strategies to enhance patient care. Stay current with advancements in pharmacotherapy, anatomy, physiology, and relevant regulations. Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) degree from an accredited institution. Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice. Completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, clinical pharmacy practices, and medication administration. Proficiency in pharmacy software systems for efficient workflow management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory management. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
