Clinical pharmacists: this role ensures the injured workers are receiving the right care through the appropriate clinical intervention method. Responsible for collaborating with cross functional clinical experts to make recommendations and ensure alignment on intervention direction, enhancements, and effective outcomes. Key Functions Assessing prescription appropriateness by reviewing patient medical history, drug interactions, and potential adverse effects to identify potential medication issues and recommend adjustments
Utilizing data analytics to identify trends in medication usage, potential drug safety concerns, and opportunities for cost savings
Review medication requests from providers to determine if medication should be dispensed or not
Collaborating with healthcare providers to educate them on appropriate medication use, including clinical guidelines and drug interactions Skills/Requirements Strong communication (both verbal and written) and collaboration skills
Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
Current active pharmacy (RPh) license in good standing
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate clinical data and make informed medication decisions
Skills:
2 plus years experience (looking for someone not right out of Pharmacy school) Candidates with several years of experience will be considered Strong communication (both verbal and written) and collaboration skills
