Summary Position Highlights:
Actively participates in research study clinical activities, in order to ensure safe and effective use of investigational medications in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Is involved in the drug distribution process related to investigational medications utilized in clinical trials The Ideal Candidate Will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Experience in Investigational Drug Services with emphasis on managing the complexity of Investigational Drug Protocols.
Responsibilities:
Performs and oversees drug distribution duties per policy and procedures. Participates in hazardous/non-hazardous preparation in accordance with most current USP guidelines. Supervises/directs support personnel and verifies their daily activities. Participates in creating and/or maintaining protocol-specific medication order templates for prescribing investigational medications.
Credentials and Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required. Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of Florida required. Either 3 years progressive institutional oncology pharmaceutical experience, Advanced Pharmacy Practice Residency or Ph.D. in related field is required. Proficiency in the drug distribution process as it relates to clinical trial process.
