Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract A retail and mail-order pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge for a part-time, 13-week assignment starting ASAP in the Clearwater, Florida area. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with both Florida and California licenses looking to work approximately 20-24 hours per week during 1st shift hours, with some flexibility for day or mid shifts.
Responsibilities include:
Verifying prescription orders to ensure accuracy and safety Handling inbound calls from patients and healthcare providers regarding medication-related inquiries Maintaining compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations Collaborating within a high-volume setting processing 1,000 to 1,500 prescriptions daily Utilizing pharmacy software (DRx) effectively to manage workflow
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active, clear Pharmacist licenses in both Florida and California Minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacist role Strong communication skills for patient and physician interactions Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Schedule/Hours:
Part-time, approximately 20-24 hours per week Primarily first shift with flexibility to accommodate candidate availability on day or mid-shifts This contract position offers the opportunity to support medication safety and patient care within a dynamic pharmacy setting focused on retail and mail-order services.
