Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) -
Long-Term Care Pharmacy Location:
Tampa, FL Compensation:
$125K-$150K + Bonus The Opportunity Our client is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead a high-volume long-term care pharmacy operation supporting the IDD and behavioral health community. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced, production-driven environment. The PIC will have full ownership of pharmacy operations, team performance, and regulatory compliance, while driving structure, accountability, and operational efficiency across the site. This opportunity is best suited for a leader who enjoys running and optimizing a business, not just supervising a function. What You'll Own Lead and develop a team of 50 pharmacists, technicians, and distribution staff Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, including order entry, verification, and cycle-fill Drive workflow efficiency and continuous process improvement Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA regulations Lead audits, inspections, and controlled substance programs Oversee medication procurement, storage, and security Establish and track KPIs tied to accuracy, speed, and service levels Partner with leadership on regulatory issues and operational strategy What They Need Active Pharmacist license 5+ years of pharmacy experience (long-term care preferred) 3+ years in PIC or pharmacy leadership preferred Experience in high-volume, production-focused environments Strong regulatory and compliance knowledge Proven ability to improve workflows and operations Experience with audits and inspections FrameworkLTC experience is a plus Why This Role Full ownership of team, workflows, and performance High visibility with leadership Established operation with immediate impact No nights or weekends Growth within a national, expanding organization Compensation & Schedule Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Competitive base salary + bonus Comprehensive healthcare benefits 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays
