This leadership role is responsible for ensuring all sterile and non-sterile compounding, dispensing, fulfillment, and distribution activities are performed in full compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations, USP , USP , USP , and all applicable federal and state requirements. The PIC serves as the legally accountable individual for pharmacy operations and plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, operational efficiency, inspection readiness, and overall pharmacy performance. Responsibilities Serve as Pharmacist in Charge in accordance with Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements Maintain full legal and regulatory responsibility for pharmacy operations Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce pharmacy SOPs and operational procedures Oversee all sterile and non-sterile 503A compounding activities Ensure ongoing compliance with
USP , USP , USP
, and all applicable regulations Maintain compliance with Florida and non-resident state Board of Pharmacy requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, inspectors, and auditors Be present for all state, federal, and third-party inspections Maintain continuous inspection readiness across all pharmacy operations Ensure prescriptions are processed, verified, dispensed, and shipped within company-defined turnaround times Oversee operational workflow to support compliance, efficiency, scalability, and accuracy Supervise pharmacist and technician staffing, onboarding, training, and competency assessments Ensure personnel adhere to SOPs, aseptic technique standards, PPE requirements, environmental monitoring procedures, and cleaning protocols Review and investigate incidents, deviations, complaints, and adverse events while implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) Ensure proper documentation, record retention, batch traceability, and controlled substance accountability Coordinate with quality assurance, operations, fulfillment, and leadership teams to support company growth and operational excellence Utilize pharmacy management systems, including LifeFile PMS, to oversee workflow, documentation, prescription processing, and operational compliance Qualifications Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist license Eligible to serve as Pharmacist in Charge in the state of Florida Multi-state pharmacist licensure required, or willingness and ability to obtain and maintain additional pharmacist licenses in multiple states Strong working knowledge ofUSP , USP
, and USP Direct experience in 503A sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacy operations Experience preparing for and managing Florida Board of Pharmacy and regulatory inspections Experience developing, implementing, and enforcing SOPs and compliance programs Experience with LifeFile PMS or similar pharmacy management systems preferred Strong operational leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills High attention to detail with a strong compliance and quality mindset Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth compounding pharmacy environmentBenefits:
