Job Description
Pharmacist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to supervise staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, managing daily production to meet delivery schedules. This role involves designing and maintaining workflows and staffing models to ensure accurate and timely prescription dispensing. The pharmacist will function as a staff pharmacist and work on the floor at least 75% of the time. Daily communication with the Director of Pharmacy Operations regarding production, safety, and compliance issues is essential. The role also includes overseeing training and onboarding of newly hired pharmacists and assisting with staffing and scheduling to maintain required licensed coverage per Board of Pharmacy requirements. Responsibilities Supervise staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Manage daily production to meet delivery schedules. Design and maintain workflows and staffing models. Function as a staff pharmacist on the floor 75% of the time. Communicate daily with the Director of Pharmacy Operations. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Oversee training and onboarding of new pharmacists. Assist with staffing and scheduling. Manage CII ordering, inventory control, and dispensing. Maintain USP compliance. Evaluate and improve workflow processes. Support pharmacy student evaluations and activities. Collaborate with other supervisors and functional teams. Handle occasional customer relations and special projects. Essential Skills Must be a registered pharmacist in the State of Iowa or hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) in the state of Iowa. Must hold a Pharmacist License in both Iowa and Illinois. High attention to detail and high volume script filling. Strong customer service skills. Expertise in inventory control, compounding, and pharmacology. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required. State of Iowa AND Illinois Pharmacist License required without restrictions. If not licensed in Iowa, must pass the Iowa Law Exam with the State of Iowa Pharmacy board prior to accepting the role. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
