A behavioral health facility in Council Bluffs, Iowa is seeking a Weekend Staff Pharmacist to support medication management and dispensing operations on weekends. This per diem role offers the opportunity to contribute your pharmacy expertise in a specialized setting with ongoing scheduling needs.

Responsibilities:

Counsel patients regarding their medications, ensuring understanding and adherence Verify medication orders for accuracy and safety Dispense medications in accordance with facility protocols Restock automation machines to maintain continuous medication availability Run restock reports and assist with inventory management

Schedule:

Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Active, clear Iowa Pharmacist license is required; temporary IA license applicants are also considered Experience or background in behavioral health or psychiatric pharmacy preferred Familiarity with Omnicell automation systems is a plus Experience with Milt/Medi-dose or HCL medication dispensing preferred This position is ideal for pharmacists seeking weekend hours with meaningful clinical impact in a behavioral health setting.
