Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility specializing in behavioral health is seeking a temporary pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing while assisting with pharmacy operations in a behavioral health setting.

Location:

Council Bluffs, IA Schedule/Hours:

Saturday and Sunday, 6 hours per day

Responsibilities:

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to behavioral health inpatients Assist with repackaging medications using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL systems Load drugs into automated dispensing machines such as Omnicell and perform restock reports Collaborate with clinical staff to support safe medication management and compliance Maintain pharmacy records and adhere to regulatory standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Iowa Pharmacist license Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred Knowledge of medication repackaging techniques using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL desirable Basic proficiency in automated machine drug loading and inventory restocking Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety This temporary assignment begins on May 18 and will continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired.
