Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A high-impact night shift opportunity is now available for a hospital pharmacist in Lawton, IA. This 7 on / 7 off schedule offers the balance many pharmacists look for, while still providing strong clinical exposure across multiple patient care units—including critical care. You'll be stepping into a role where autonomy, clinical decision-making, and collaboration all matter. If you're comfortable working independently overnight and enjoy a fast-paced inpatient setting, this is a great chance to strengthen your hospital experience while maintaining a flexible schedule. Responsibilities Review and verify medication orders across all hospital units Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure workflow efficiency Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring Consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies Support medication safety and compliance with hospital protocols Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for daily pharmacy operations Work Hours 7 on / 7 off schedule 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience Prior inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience required Experience with critical care (CCU) patients preferred Comfortable working independently in a night shift environment Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Other Qualifications Active and valid Iowa Pharmacist License Experience with EPIC and Pyxis preferred Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Full-time availability for the duration of the contract to be considered for this Iowa travel pharmacist opportunity or send your resume directly to learn more about additional roles currently available.
