Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to work a night shift schedule in the Sioux City, IA area. This contract role offers a 7-on, 7-off schedule, beginning as soon as possible for a duration of 13 weeks or more.

Work Hours:

Night shift from 9:00 PM to 7:30 PM 7 days on, followed by 7 days off

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient therapy Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication management Provide pharmacy services across all units, with an emphasis on critical care areas

Desired Experience and Skills:

Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting Familiarity with critical care unit (CCU) patient needs is beneficial Proficiency with electronic systems such as EPIC and Pyxis Strong communication and leadership abilities This role suits pharmacists comfortable managing a variety of units and able to work independently during night shifts. The position requires attention to detail and collaborative consultation with clinical staff to provide optimal patient care.
