Healthcare / Oncology Pharmacy Important Note This is an isolated pharmacy role, meaning the pharmacist works independently with limited on-site support from other pharmacists. Only candidates with direct oncology and chemotherapy experience should apply. This role requires someone who can step in confidently and perform at a high level from day one. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive oncology clinical pharmacy services in an outpatient oncology clinic setting Develop and work on clinical oncology treatment plans in collaboration with the oncology care team Oversee the preparation of hazardous medications for compounding in compliance with USP 800 standards Perform double verification of pharmacy technician compounding work to ensure accuracy and patient safety Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently using Epic Maintain oversight of all pharmacy operations throughout the shift Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and institutional pharmacy regulations Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and oncology care team members on medication therapy and patient care Experience Clinical oncology pharmacy experience required — this is a hard requirement for this role Chemotherapy preparation and verification experience required Hazardous drug handling experience required Sterile compounding experience required Experience working independently in an isolated or solo pharmacy environment strongly preferred Epic proficiency preferred Skills Strong clinical oncology knowledge and independent judgment Comfortable working as the primary pharmacist in an isolated setting Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in hazardous drug preparation and verification Effective communicator with oncology physicians, nurses, and care team members Confidently stepping into a specialized clinical environment quickly Qualifications An active Illinois Pharmacist License is required Soliant offers Licensing Assistance if you are not yet licensed in
