Oncology Inpatient Staff Pharmacist | Chicago, Illinois RPh on the Go - 4.1 Chicago, IL Job Details Contract $53 - $65 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Registered Pharmacist (RPh) Licensed Pharmacist (State-Specific) Doctor of Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist Full Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A clinical hospital staff pharmacist position is available for a 13-week contract, with the potential for extension. This role operates within an inpatient hospital environment, providing critical pharmacy services to support patient care. The position offers a rotating schedule between first and second shifts, including weekends to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Responsibilities include:
Dispensing medications accurately and safely within a hospital inpatient setting Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy, particularly in oncology cases Utilizing Cerner electronic medical records for order verification and medication management Monitoring patient responses and providing clinical consultation as needed Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Illinois pharmacy license is required Strong clinical inpatient pharmacy experience is highly desired Experience in oncology pharmacy practice is preferred Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems is a plus Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends
Schedule:
Rotating first shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Rotating second shift: 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM Weekend rotations required
