Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract Provide critical pharmaceutical care as a Night Pharmacist on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, working from 9 PM to 7:30 AM. This role supports pediatric inpatient care, requiring expertise in pediatric dosing and hospital pharmacy operations. The position offers a contract engagement lasting approximately 13 weeks or longer, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
Verify and dispense medications for pediatric patients, ensuring accuracy with weight-based dosing Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes Manage medication inventories and utilize hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Omnicell Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards during night shifts Provide expert clinical pharmaceutical guidance in the pediatric hospital environmentQualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Illinois Pharmacist license Solid hospital pharmacy background with experience in clinical settings Demonstrated comfort and proficiency in pediatric pharmacy, including weight-based medication dosing Ability to work independently during night shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferredLocation:
Position based in Evanston, IL, supporting a pediatric hospital facility This contract opportunity is ideal for a clinical pharmacist comfortable with night hours and eager to contribute specialized pediatric pharmaceutical care.
