In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise and pharmacy knowledge to ensure safe, effective medication management, while collaborating closely with healthcare professionals across various departments. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards Provide expert consultation to medical staff regarding medication therapy, including pain management strategies Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication plans, considering physiology and anatomy knowledge Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting treatments as needed in collaboration with healthcare teams Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and medical terminology standards Manage medication inventories, including ordering, storage, and documentation for controlled substances and specialty drugs Support emergency situations by providing critical care expertise in trauma centers (Level I & II), PICU, ICU, and emergency room settings Requirements Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction Proven experience in hospital pharmacy practice, including hospital medicine and critical care environments Demonstrated expertise in managed care principles and Level II trauma center experience preferred Strong background in clinical pharmacy experience with post-residency or post-residency equivalent practice Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, acute pain management, and medication administration protocols Excellent understanding of medical terminology, patient service standards, and patient care procedures Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or emergency rooms Prior experience in pediatrics or PICU is advantageous but not mandatory Join us to advance your pharmacy career while making a meaningful difference in patient lives.
