Pharmacist | M-F Day Shift Flexibility

The Schedule & Flexibility Hours:

7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday through Friday).

Work-Life Balance:

No weekends, no nights, and all Federal holidays off.

Customizable Commitment:

We can accommodate two different paths: The "Sprint": 3 days per week for 40 weeks of the year. The "Marathon": 2 days per week on a consistent, year-round basis.

Clinical Scope & Technology Direct Clinical Care:

Certify prescriptions in medical records, identify complex drug interactions, and provide vital patient education to a diverse population.

Advanced Automation:

Utilize Scriptpro for dispensing and refilling, and manage Pyxis machines for automated medication inventory and security.

Operational Oversight:

Interpret provider orders, manage inventory via the prime vendor computer system, and participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and data improvement activities.

Clinical Authority:

Work independently to provide pharmaceutical care commensurate with local community standards, with periodic reviews by the Chief Pharmacist. The Population & Environment A diverse AIC population. Facility Licensure:

Active Illinois State Pharmacist License (Mandatory).

Certifications:

Current CPR certification and a valid Driver's License.

Experience:

While correctional experience is a plus, it is not required. This is a great transition role for a hospital or retail pharmacist looking for a new environment.

Pay:

$60.00 - $65.00 per hour
