In this vital role, you'll lead safety initiatives, mentor staff, and ensure top-tier care across our hospital and affiliated locations.
Qualifications Qualifications & Requirements:
Licensure:
Active Pharmacist License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required).
Experience:
Clinical pharmacy experience. Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Services Provide direct patient care by intervening as appropriate to improve prescribing, administration, and monitoring practices in the facility. Screen medication orders for potential interactions with other medications, diet orders, disease states, or stated allergies. Assist with medication dosage evaluations based on patient factors like age, weight, and clinical status, as needed. Provide Medication Therapy Management Services as defined in the Illinois Pharmacy Practice Act. Dispensing & Operational Accuracy Interpret physician medication orders and send the appropriate medication in a timely and accurate manner. Supervise technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications and parenterals. Provide accurate and complete accounting of all controlled substances. Quality & Administrative Support Assist in focused studies and drug usage evaluations as assigned. Represent the pharmacy on committees or work groups as assigned. . Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $54.13per hour - $93.1per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
