Pharmacist - Greenfield, IN

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist ready to contribute expertise in a closed-door mail order environment while providing exceptional pharmaceutical care. The position involves working the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 12:30pm to 9pm, with occasional Saturdays based on operational needs. The assignment spans approximately 13 weeks with the potential to transition from temporary to direct hire status.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders while ensuring patient safety. Offer medication counseling, educating patients about proper usage, side effects, and interactions. Review physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy. Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and encourage medication adherence. Maintain precise patient records including medication histories and interventions. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Ensure proper medication storage, monitor for expired or damaged products. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities. Assist with inventory management including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies. Provide exemplary customer service by resolving inquiries and promoting pharmacy offerings. Supervise pharmacy technicians on the 2nd shift, providing guidance and support. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain abreast of pharmacy practice advancements.

Qualifications:

PharmD degree required. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience. Current Indiana Pharmacy License. California Pharmacy License preferred, or willingness to reciprocate; assistance with licensure costs provided. Ability and willingness to travel up to 5%.
