We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate PRN/Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team. Position Summary The PRN/Part-Time Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, counseling patients, and supporting pharmacy operations in alignment with all state and federal regulations. This role offers a flexible schedule ideal for pharmacists seeking supplemental work or a reduced-hour position while maintaining a high standard of patient care. Key Responsibilities Prepare and verify a wide range of compounded preparations including topical creams, oral suspensions, capsules, and troches with USP and standards Review and validate compounding formulas, beyond-use dates (BUDs), and ingredient compatibility prior to preparation Perform or oversee compounding calculations, including weight-to-volume conversions, dilutions, and dosage adjustments Maintain accurate compounding logs, batch records, and quality control documentation in accordance with state board and USP requirements Conduct in-process and final checks on compounded preparations to ensure accuracy, sterility, and quality Consult with prescribers to recommend appropriate compounding formulations tailored to individual patient needs Counsel patients on proper use, storage, handling, and beyond-use dating of compounded medications Accurately dispense commercially manufactured prescription medications and verify technician-processed orders Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations, including DEA controlled substance requirements Assist with inventory management of compounding ingredients, bulk chemicals, and packaging supplies Support a clean, organized, and USP-compliant compounding environment Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and continuing education related to compounding practices
Qualifications Required:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institution Active and unrestricted Indiana Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in good standing Current immunization certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

$60.00 - $70.00 per hour
