Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and services to our customers while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Pharmacist will be responsible for the following, but not limited to: Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to prescription orders. Provide medication counseling and education to patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions. Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy. Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote medication adherence. Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories, allergies, and interventions. Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, including monitoring for expired or damaged products. Participate in pharmacy quality assurance programs and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and managing pharmaceutical supplies. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting pharmacy services. Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program. Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state pharmacy board. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a retail or mail order pharmacy setting (preferred). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping. Proficiency in pharmacy management software and technology.
Travel Required:
Up to 5% travel Working Conditions /
Physical Demands:
Utilize a computer and calculator Work environment may include exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods May be required to lift items up to 25 lbs. on occasion
