Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Residency Program Director and the Pharmacy Director, is responsible for increasing competency and demonstrating performance as a clinical pharmacist through extensive training and experiential work in a variety of clinical, administrative, and distributive functions. The residency is a 12-month commitment and involves a high level of professional knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with other health professionals. A high degree of competency and accuracy is required for quality patient care.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: Must hold or be eligible for registration as a Pharmacist in the State of Indiana, having attained a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy (requires fulfilling continuing education requirements - 30 c.e.u. every 2 years to maintain licensure.) Licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Indiana is required one month after initial employment. Broad and thorough knowledge of drug therapy, pharmacokinetics dosing, nutritional support and drug information, or any previous hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred. Must have good written and communication skills and the ability to interact with other health professionals. Proficiency with electronic medical records, word processing programs, and Microsoft Excel is advantageous in data analysis.
