Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacist in Charge, where you will lead pharmacy operations with enthusiasm, precision, and a commitment to exceptional patient care. We are looking for an experienced pharmacist or a newly graduated pharmacist. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily pharmacy activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety and medication management. As the leader of our pharmacy team, you will drive clinical excellence, optimize medication therapies, and support the professional growth of your staff. Your expertise will help us deliver outstanding service in diverse settings, including hospital, LTC (Long-Term Care), and acute care environments. Responsibilities Be involved with the rural community overall. Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff supervision. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, state and federal pharmacy laws, and accreditation standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication therapy plans tailored to patient needs. Utilize pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation, prescription processing, and patient record management. Lead initiatives in immunizations administration, pain management protocols, and medical management strategies to enhance patient outcomes. Monitor inventory levels meticulously to prevent shortages or overstocking while managing procurement processes efficiently. Provide mentorship and training to pharmacy technicians and new staff to uphold high standards of patient service and clinical practice. Requirements Valid pharmacist license in good standing with current registration. Demonstrated proficiency with pharmacy software systems and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR). Familiarity with inventory management practices within a healthcare setting. Ability to assess patients comprehensively for medication appropriateness and safety considerations. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams; knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential. Established pharmacist or newly graduated pharmacist.
