Full Job Description Job Description Summary:
A hospital pharmacist chooses, prepares, and dispenses medications for patients in the hospital. Is also an advisor and manager. They advise health professionals and patients about medications. They also manage medication inventory and usage in the hospital. Administers, directs, and coordinates the pharmaceutical needs of patients, physicians, and staff in the hospital. Responsible for the daily process associated with: medication storage, order review, medication admixing and dispensation. Counsels and educates patients, staff and ordering providers. Oversees the daily safety of the medication management process. advise physicians and other healthcare workers on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications to treat health problems. Participates in committee meetings.
Required:
Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited US pharmacy school or equivalent Current Pharmacist license in Kansas Strong ethical and moral character Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English Preferred Previous hospital pharmacy and managerial experience Computer literacy
